Microsoft Dynamics GP2010 News

The latest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP has been released - it is officially called GP2010 (though some may refer to it as GP11).

Preparing for Your Upgrade -

Now that you've gotten a quick taste of what's in store when you upgrade to GP2010, you may want to see if your current server system is prepared to house this new version of GP.  Please access this System Requirements sheet to find out.  Once you are ready, contact Amy Coddington at (716) 568-2040 x117 for your upgrade quote.

Management Reporter to Replace FRx

Microsoft is in the process of replacing FRx with Management Reporter.  Management Reporter will be a new financial report writer based on the functional concepts of FRx, but with improved features and capabilities.  This includes more powerful analytic capabilities, multiple distribution options, the ability to put logos/images on documents and so much more. It will be on a 64 bit version of SQL server on a .net platform written in C#. 

There will be a migration wizard download available in May that will help in the conversion of documents from FRx to Management Reporter.  Existing customers who have and are using FRx will have the option to continue on with it when they upgrade to GP2010, but will also have access to Management Reporter and are encouraged to consider using it as FRx will not supported in future versions of Dynamics GP.
